Aanstaande zaterdag staat er een bijzondere OpenHaard editie klaar. We nemen deel aan het FIBER festival wat plaatsvind in de Verdieping in TrouwAmsterdam. Het FIBER festival is een nieuw audiovisueel netwerk festival dat zich concentreert op een nieuwe generatie kunstenaars, ontwerpers en muzikanten (dj’s, vj’s en producers) die het belang inzien van kennisdeling, gecombineerd werken en het zo realiseren van een interdisciplinaire kunstbeleving van (visuele) kunst en muziek.
De OH sessie – die het karakter heeft van een tafelgesprek – is de afsluiter van het dagprogramma van het FIBER festival. Het vindt plaats van 18:30 tot 20:00 op het hoofdpodium in de Verdieping. In deze OpenHaard sessie geven 3 bijzondere gasten hun visie op de integratie tussen hedendaagse visuele kunst en (elektronische) muziek in de vorm van eigen gekozen materiaal. Hierbij krijgen de gasten de mogelijkheid om kort iets over hun eigen werk te vertellen en hiernaast hun eigen inspiratie te tonen (video, foto, youtube, vimeo, objecten, muziek etc.). De sessie zal geleid worden door een moderator. Hij/zij zal tussendoor vragen stellen om overtuigingen en hun visie op tafel te krijgen. Binnen het informele karakter kan ook het publiek vragen stellen.

LET OP: Anders dan normaal is toegang tot OpenHaard 5 euro. Wel krijgt je gelijk hiermee toegang tot het hele dagprogramma en expositie van het festival (14:00 tot 20:00). Omdat OpenHaard het allerlaatste onderdeel is binnen het dagprogramma, raden we je aan vooraf aan OH-sessie de expositie te bezoeken. Wanneer OH is afgelopen sluit namelijk ook de expo voor iedereen met een DAY-ticket. Wel is er de gelegenheid om na afloop van OH wat te blijven drinken en napraten.

Tarik Barri (1979 – The Netherlands)
Tarik is a Dutch audiovisual composer and software developer. His works take on various forms like performances, installations and videos. He also creates live visuals for Robert Henke/Monolake performances.
Tarik works with Versum; a software tool which he programmed to create three-dimensional audiovisual compositions with. It forces both the audience and the composer to look at the music and listen to the visuals. Within Versum Tarik can undertake three dimensional journeys in virtual space, comparable to the way one can move through space in a first person shooter game.
This month the Transmediale festival (Berlin) called his work “one of the most innovative audiovisual performances around”. Together with Monolake he will headline this years Club Transmediale in the famous club Berghain.
Martin Boverhof (1976, The Netherlands)
After concluding his education at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht and the European Media Master of Art program in the field of Digital Media Design in 2002, Martin works as a multimedia artist and creative director in Utrecht. Focussing on the visualization of music he has worked in collaborations with artists like Miako Klein (DE), Chikage Imai (JP) and Merlijn Twaalfhoven (NL) and visually supported bands and dj’s like Arrested Development, Pete Thong, Jeff Mills and Junkie XL. His works have been exhibited and performed on festivals and locations as TodaysArt (Den Haag), Club 11, Paradiso, Dam Square, and many musea.
As a multimedia artist Martin works on motion graphics and real-time generative visuals, projected by multi-screen installations, creating panoramic views and immersive video environments. As a creative director Martin is currently involved in Born Digital, a foundation for new media and new creativity in Utrecht, focusing on transdisciplinary collaboration and exchange.

Arne Boon (1979 – The Netherlands)
Arne Boon is a young and versatile interaction artist. He makes interactive piece of art in which the audience plays a central role. Mostly the creation of sounds or music is done by the audience. He studied at the HKU, finished the Master of Arts in European Media and worked as a developer and IA-designer at the Amsterdam based Ijsfontijn studio. Arne is ver very good in making people do things and think differently. At the same time you are the centre of of his art and a part of a larger structure.
